Blackcats Give Back is a day for Dunklin R-5 faculty and students to make a difference through a variety of service opportunities around and for the community.
One of the pillars of Bright Futures is to provide students opportunities for hands-on, service-learning. Service-learning helps support and cultivate a spirit of engagement and service in school and in the community. They also can provide you an opportunity to explore what potential ways you can use your interests or skills to make a positive impact in our community. Volunteering time and talent helps our students to learn that small changes can make a big impact.
Our community is amazing! Our community members and organizations always step up and generously provide support to the students of the Dunklin R-5 School District, and now it is our turn to give back!
Students and families will be paired with Dunklin R-5 staff to complete projects around and for the community. Students in grades 6-12 are able to participate in "on-site" projects throughout the community. Students K-5 will be kept on campus at Herculaneum High School to complete projects that will be sent out to the community.
